AFTERNOON of POETRY and SHOP NEWS

The shop is starting to look a bit bare and we are winding down, ready to close up next weekend.
It has been a lovely couple of months with so many coming in and saying how much they'll miss the shop.
Meridyn has reduced a lot of her stock and I have stationery as well as books on sale, so it is worth a look over Easter or next week.
Our last day of trading will be Sunday 27th April.

New releases
While I haven't been buying much this year, I have restocked jigsaw puzzles and a few new releases. That good reading and puzzle weather is coming, so get out in the garden while it is lovely like today and make the most of this mild autumn weather...
There are some great titles out at the moment and over the next few weeks.
The new Dervla McTiernan is out on 30th April, so let me know if you want a copy and I'll put one aside for you.
Awards
We have copies of most of the Stella Shortlist and the Indie Book Award winners in the shop.
I can still order books in if we haven't got it. As our house hasn't sold, I'll be in Yass for a while.
SHOP UPDATE
So, I decided to shut the shop, thinking no-one would be interested in buying it. Once I announced the closure I had 4 people contact me about a sale.
Unfortunately I had already given notice for the space at the Liberty. So, the good news is someone IS buying The Yass Book Store - bad news, nowhere to put it - yet. A lot of people have feelers out for a new space, but the rent needs to be reasonable to make it viable.
The lovely person who is moving into the space in the Liberty is talking to us about potentially keeping a small footprint for the bookshop, until a more permanent shop comes up. Her new shop is going to be amazing, so watch out for more news. The plan is to close for renovations and then open mid-late May.
In the meantime we hope to see you in the shop over the next week, lots of bargains to be had.
