I am about to transfer the website, social media and everything else for The Yass Book Store to Jodie. So this is my last post to say goodbye and thank you!
It has been an amazing 5 years and I loved it all. I just want to say thank you for all of the support you have provided in that time.
For Yass to have a bookstore is a big thing, I am told by many. For that to happen, the shop has to make money. So now that it isn't my shop, I can ask you to continue to support the shop:
order and buy books locally
shop for gifts and stationery
tell your friends about the shop
follow, share and like social media
attend author events
leave a review on Google reviews.
Over time we have built up a following with people travelling between Sydney and Melbourne and surrounds. Visitors also come from Canberra, Goulburn and around the Yass Valley for a day out. I am so glad the shop will remain to service the Yass Valley and it's visitors.
I am sure Jodie will introduce herself soon and let you know about progress on finding a new space for the shop.
Please come to the Margaret Hickey event on Monday if you can. She is a great Australian rural crime writer and the new book is very good!
Keep an eye on the Yass Library socials for coming events where Jodie will be selling books for authors.
A couple of other bits of news.
The paperback of the latest Tim Winton book Juice is available now.
There are new books in July for Karen Brooks, Margaret Hickey and Meg Bignell.
The Yass Book Store still has books, puzzles, card and wrap in the old shop - now TAL Organics for a few more weeks.
Our house hasn't sold, so I am still floating around Yass, loving spending time with the Grandkids and keeping busy with other things.
So, over to Jodie ........
Jo
xx
