Awards
The Australian Indie Book Awards were announced this week with Robbie Arnott taking out Book of the Year for Dusk.
I loved this book, very atmospheric and once you get started, it is hard to put down.
The Childrens Book Council of Australia CBCA Shortlist was also announced with, as usual, loads of wonderful books in each category.
My favourites include Spiro and One Little Dung Beetle (Local author - Rhian Williams) in the Early Childhood category and Comes the Night (set in Canberra) by Isobelle Carmody.
The Stella Prize Longlist is full of great books!
I loved The Burrow and have read The Thinning and the Theory & Practice and am looking forward to reading the others. Rapture is on our book club list this year.
New releases
The latest in the Hunger Games Series arrived last week. Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins.
The Let Them Theory is proving hard to keep in stock as it is selling very well. I have had a few interesting conversations in the shop about it. Could be a life changing read?
For those of us who don't know the history behind the Palestinian/Israeli conflict.
Gaza - a History, by Jean-Pierre Filiu has been updated and re-released.

I recently read Nicole Alexander's latest book The Limestone Road and enjoyed it. It is her 12th book and in each she focuses on a place in Australia at a time in history relevant to that area. The Limestone Road is set in Adelaide and follows a father and son finding their feet after returning from the war.
All from me, enjoy your reading!
Jo
