Moving to a new home

We have moved!

Last Saturday was my last day in the cottage. We opened again on Thursday in the Liberty Theatre, what a big week it was...

Helen joined the team on Thursday and we had an author visit. Lots of regulars have visited and others have popped in to see what is going on.

Meri Collectables will be sharing the new space along with the local artists and makers I stocked in the old cottage.

Tracey Hawkins recently launched new book The Riddle of Tanglewood Manor, the first of a new series for ages 7+. She is a Canberra author who also has a wonderful picture book out called Leaping Lola. You can get signed copies of both of these in the shop.

Book club

We had our first book club meeting at the end of January. The book was Still Life by Sarah Winman. Everyone enjoyed this book, some of the highlights included the setting in Italy, intriguing characters, art references and the lovely writing.

This week we discussed The Last Woman in the World by Inga Simpson, a dystopian novel, set around Nimmitabel and Canberra.
